CLA & You


"Oh no. Not again!" It's the 5th time this week that Linda from HR brought here 5-cheese lasagna. And to make matters worse, she brought the pasta carbonara too. Screw you Linda!


"How the hell am I supposed to keep in shape, if I keep eating like this. I don't want to be rude and pass her off. Ahh!"

You see when we take a break from working out for a bit, our BMR (basal metabolic rate) which is responsible for the amount of energy needed for our body to move decreases, making it really hard to get rid of incoming fat.


That's where CLA comes into actions. It's got properties (the super science-y kind!) that act on the genes in the body that are responsible for fat storage & production. Although CLA is great for burning fat, it's not the best for losing weight. Remember how we said CLA boosts metabolism and how it utilizes your calories per exercise? Well that way also aids in supporting lean muscle mass by increasing muscle to fat ratio. Since you're already burning fat and exercising more, that energy is all going to your muscles. CLA is pretty freaking great, isn't it? But with a lot of these brands that sell CLA, much too often they include unnecessary fillers or it's too much of a dosage for people like us who just want to maintain our bodies, not see massive growth or fat loss.
