What's So Special About Magnesium?

Updated: Jul 29, 2020

What if I told you there's a supplement out there that you absolutely CANNOT live without? What if I told you this one supplement will help to prevent diabetes & heart disease, and all other bad stuff that keeps you down?

Think that's impossible? Think again!

This supplement is a little something called Magnesium. Now, I know what you're thinking.

"This guy said it'll cure my diabetes. What the hell am I going to do with Magnesium?!"

First of all, I didn't say cure. Open your ears. Secondly, you can do a lot with magnesium and I'm going to show you how.

But first, let's get this out of the way. For those of you lost right now & have no idea what Magnesium is, allow me to explain.

Magnesium is a mineral naturally created in the body that is incredibly essential to life. While it's available in a lot of foods, a lot of them don't make enough of it to assist you with the pain & inflammation you're feeling. And let's be honest, would you really want to eat 10 cups of spinach? You ain't freaking Popeye the sailor man!

In addition to this, as previously mentioned, there are a host of great benefits associated with Magnesium as well. Let's cover the 3 big ones.

1. Reduce Muscle Soreness & Relaxes The Muscles

One of the big benefits of Magnesium is it's unique ability to bring down the level of pain cause by extreme workouts. Take you, for an example, who's just come from this world where everyone trains to get bigger muscles, and not to move properly. This in turn leads to muscles behaving the way it shouldn't be causing you tremendous pain & soreness. But just by taking this supplement daily for a couple of weeks, you can drastically reduce that pain.

How you ask?

Well, in our bodies, Magnesium acts as a gatekeeper so it can regulate the nerve cells & how much calcium gets supplied to them. If there is too much calcium in the nerves, it'll send a rush of signals towards the muscles causing it to be overload. What you're left with is a muscle that over-contracts, and that's where you get all this nasty stuff of muscle cramps, fatigue, sprains, & even bruises.

Now, I'm not saying that once you take Magnesium, you'll basically be like Superman. What I am saying though is that magnesium can greatly reduce the ugly effects of hardcore workouts. A life where you don't fatigue after every set, and you don't always end up in cramps? Sign me up!

2. All About The Metabolism

Something that you'd never think that Magnesium could provide was the important ability of managing your metabolism, allowing you to maintain & prevent weight gain.

A muscle pain supplement that ALSO acts as a fat burner? I know, I was shocked too. But the evidence is there.

Magnesium plays a role in over 300 active chemical reactions involved with the metabolism of nutrients such as fats, protein and carbohydrates. It does this by controlling the amount of insulin that enters the body & managing blood glucose levels so that's it not too high or too low.

A decrease in magnesium will bring the entire system down, causing your metabolism to slow down and your weight gain to speed up.

Don't be alarmed though.

While Magnesium does help with metabolism, it's not too the point where you'll lose a shit ton of weight with one single capsule.

BUT if you're looking to maintain your lean physique & keeping the fat from coming in, Magnesium is a great way to do so.

3. Improves Performance

If you went to high school, you'll know about something called ATP. ATP is the body's energy currency used for energy production, which if you've been paying attention is what all athletes and gym enthusiasts need more of. Magnesium is one of those minerals essential for ATP production, meaning the more of it you can get, the more energy you will have and less likely to fatigue during your athletic performance. Don't believe me?

Well, lets look at the evidence.

"A study of male athletes supplemented with 390mg of magnesium per day for 25 days, which resulted in an increased peak oxygen uptake and total work output during work capacity tests" (Med Sci Sports, 1986).

Meanwhile, "A study on women put on a magnesium restricted diet, which showed for a given cycling workload, peak oxygen uptake...and heart rate all increased significantly during the period of magnesium restriction" (Am J Cardiol 2003).

And with Magnesium, it's not like it's just a little bit increase in performance as it is with creatine. It's actually quite huge!

As you read, Magnesium is really, really beneficial for you. If you don't happen to take Magnesium daily, your body removes it completely from your bones. This could lead to bad bone diseases like osteoporosis, and not to mention the other bad diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

Looking at all these benefits of Magnesium, it’s no wonder why we use it in our supplement, SUNFIRE.
