What Most People Get Wrong About Energy Supplements
Energy supplements and pre-workouts are 2 completely different things, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
The biggest difference between pre-workouts and energy supplements is that one gives you massive headaches & jitters, while the other doesn’t.
All jokes aside, pre-workouts are known for giving you that short rush of energy.
You know the kind I’m talking about? The energy you need when you go to pull a really heavy lift.
And don’t get me wrong, if you’re solely focusing on that, then pre-workouts are amazing!
But what happens after that?
Your body feels weak and suddenly your head starts to hurt, unable to fully recover. Next thing you know, you’re down for the count.
Is that how you want to live your life?
Is that how you want your fitness to be?
Just full of one-time quick wins and boom, you’re out?
I don’t know about you, but that’s not me.
Actually, when I was just starting to get into fitness a couple of years ago, I was really starting to lose a shit ton of energy.
Mostly ‘cause I was really chubby growing up & cardio was my worst nightmare.
It got so bad, sometimes I’d do a tabata style workout, and then leave the gym right after because that’s how I tired I was. I just gave up.
Chances are the same thing is probably happening to you, especially as a CrossFit newbie. CrossFit is known for its especially brutal workouts, especially those nasty Metcons that seem to leave you completely dead and out of breath every time.
That’s why you need that long-lasting energy to help you get through tough workouts like those. And in that regard, pre-workouts just won’t cut it.
That’s why my suggestion is to opt for energy supplements instead.
While you have no idea what’s inside a pre-workout, with all of it’s proprietary blends and what not, energy supplements work a little differently.
Most of them, like SUNFIRE is made with all-natural, sugar-free and non-GMO ingredients so you can power through the next Metcon with unstoppable energy.
No crashes, jitters or headaches.
With energy supplements, it’s more of a sustained release.
You won’t feel this overwhelming rush of energy as soon as you take it but you will definitely be more energized and awake over a long period of time.
And that’s what you need especially if you’re looking at what those intense CrossFit WODs do over a period of time.
Another big plus about energy supplements is that it uses ingredients that by themselves work to improve your energy, but when combined altogether, it only makes logical sense that they would boost your energy 10 fold. SUNFIRE is a great example of this.
It’s made with 8 all-natural, nutritional powerhouses that work together to provide you with that clean, long-lasting energy that keeps you pushing through the toughest WODs for 8 hours or more.
Now, a common question I asked, is the coffee question.
Some schools of thought in the CrossFit space say no it’s garbage. Just drink water.
Other schools of thought want you to practically overdose on it.
Now, my answer is it depends.
Too much of it will only cause you to crash heavy in your workouts.
Not to mention the pounding headaches.
That’s why with energy supplements like SUNFIRE, it will help to pick you up from a tiring day and transform you into a highly energized athlete.
And best part is, even if you still love a good cup of Joe in the morning, energy supplements like SUNFIRE don’t work to replace it
There’s a myth going on in the fitness world that all you need is willpower to push through a workout.
Then tell me if that’s true why don’t more people join the gym if that’s all you need.
Willpower really is not enough, and in my opinion, you need discipline and good habits. Because why? Because repetition is the mother of skill.
If you say to yourself, you know what, this “workout is going to suck!” Embrace it and keep moving on.
It’s all about living in the moment and not worrying about how you’ll feel after or the negative false beliefs that are holding you back from doing the workouts.
Another reason why I say that willpower is not enough is because I’ve been there.
At my lowest point during a Fran, I was really struggling out there.
I was asking for some kind of heavenly sign to help keep pushing on but to my surprise nothing.
I “failed” that WOD and I would go on to keep failing because I solely relied on my willpower.
You need something more powerful than willpower and that comes with discipline.
Think about military guys.
Do you think they have a lot of willpower when it comes to sacrificing their lives? No that’s some scary as shit!
They are that way because they’ve been training like that for a long time, so it becomes ingrained into their skull.
Same thing with your CrossFit training.
But if you do need that extra kick to be more motivated so you can be more disciplined, that’s why there’s energy supplements like SUNFIRE.
With SUNFIRE, you can absolutely kill fatigue and become the unstoppable athlete you’ve always wanted to be.
